Older people are rarely seen on television. When they are, they usually appear as comical or inactive stereotypes. But on community and public access channels around the country, seniors are not only appearing on television, they are often producing it themselves. This show features clips from a number of series including "Senior Beat" from Wisconsin, "Age Wise" from Oregon and "Generations" from Massachusetts. The excepts present a variety of forms and subject matter--from dramatic vignettes written and performed by the Elders Art Theater to a documentary about the lack of senior housing.
