nassau73 NOTES:
--This final night of the "Back To Hawaii" tour felt really special.
--It was one of those events where you had to be there to meet and greet the guys as they mingled through the crowd during the breaks. Speaking of which - the fire dancers performing between sets was a really nice way to spend the time waiting for the finale.
--The show was recorded from a position dead center at the lip of the stage so there's more of the sound coming directly off the stage and stage monitors. As a result, David's vocals sound a bit distant at times.
--Once again, we had severe wind advisories posted for Maui this night. I attenuated the sound of the winds in the recording during post so the occasional gusts are not very intrusive. Don't forget this is an outside venue bordering the west beaches of the Pacific Ocean. The ocean is located about a football field away from where the stage was set up.
--After the band left the stage, it appeared the show was over so I turned off the recorder. Barry and David came back to the stage and each made a heartfelt statement of how everyone made this tour very memorable. David made a statement saying, "I think we played pretty good this tour".
--So, mahalo nui loa to everyone who made these Hawaiian shows possible.
Enjoy and...
Aloha from Maui,
nassau73
