Note: Any hard disk operating systems produced by SYSELECT will
not boot on typical floppy disk machines. If it is desirable to
boot a hard disk operating system on a floppy-only machine, you
must obtain and install a hard disk boot rom for that machine
(which corrects the problem).
1) This version of SYSELECT contains the French keyboard,
character set, sign-on banner and translate table. This table
permits the creation of "special" characters by backspacing and
overtyping. It should only be included in a system generation
if the French keyboard and character set are included.
German, Italian and American keyboards, German and Italian
banners and character sets have also been added.
2) Please note that the old E2BN0 .EXE to .BIN conversion utility
has been replaced by SYSLOC.EXE. This happened because E2BN0 would
not work with files larger than 64K.
SYSLOC.EXE - EXE format locator
The function of this program is to absolutely assign long
references, if any are present, in an EXE file and, then, to
output a binary image. The EXE file is processed as specified in
the optional switches. The default case will convert an EXE file
with no long references to a binary image (.BIN).
Invocation - SYSLOC f1 [f2] [switches]
where:
f1 is input name with .EXE assumed.
f2 is optional filename for output. Default is input name with a
.BIN extension. Further, only the extension need be specified to
carry the name from f1 to f2.
[switches] are as follows:
/s => ignore stack allocation if present
/p => pause if error encountered
/l[:h[hhh]] is value at which to locate the binary image.
Defaults to 0000H.
/c => EXE must have IP=100H.

3) Version 0.72 of SYSELECT will now accept .CHR files created
by EFONT as primary character sets, there are still problems with
secondary character sets.
4) There are problems using Version 0.72 of SYSELECT with more
than 18 keyboard or character files.
5) There are problems with SYSCOPY if you try to copy to your
work volume.
