DVD Transfer 100 is a transfer of the 1985 Christian youth musical "Hi-Tops". The musical (written by Ernie and Debby {Kerner} Rettino; who had already experienced success with the Psalty the Singing Songbook series by this time) focuses on a high-school where several students are forced to deal with various aspects of peer pressure. In Heaven, Gabriel sends three angels to study this phenomenon first hand; while Lucifer attempts to ensnare souls to his side. During all this, a group called Hi-Tops is searching for additional members.
The musical is probably remembered for being the source of the first sighting of a 16-year-old Crystal Lewis.
CAST (in order from DVD except for two roles I moved next to each other) Jeff Carter as Norman J. Pitts Michelle Rees as Heather Hanson (Carter and Rees would eventually get married; and appeared in 4 episodes of Family Feud in December 1991) Cheryl Dieda as Ginny Alexander Daniel Walters as Lucifer (or as he went by here, Lewy) Scott Richardson as Tony Mizzarelli Jennine Jones as Grace (one of the undercover angels; posing as punk rocker) Matt Wright as Twinn Finn (undercover angel 2; posing as nerd) Crystal Lewis as Lily from the Valley (3rd undercover angel; posing as Valley Girl) Robb Rigg as Gabriel (Rigg, of course, also appeared in the Psalty projects as Blooper or Risky Rat) Maria Andrade as Maggie Phil Davis as Hi-Tops leader Holly Saunders as Lisa Louise LeBlanc Alan Smith as Mr. Quirk (only teacher shown) Ben Goodner as Travis (the "boy soprano with a cold" in the "I Wanna Be in the Band" song) Lisa Walker as Lisa Noah Penn; Jody Williams and Angel Smythe as Hi-Tops dancers (I think Williams sung lead on opener "Father of Lights") Emily Olinger as Emily (Emily had been part of some of the Psalty albums) Robert Smith as Guardian Angel David Hare as Sam
