The later part of this volume includes a lot of discussion of the Amberol records. Unfortunately, these had poor sound quality, despite Edison's claims of them sounding "sweet". I think the Gold Moulded records sounded better, to be honest.
It is fascinating reading the advice for selling the records. Advice is given on window displays and such.
Also featured is advice on selling the political records made by Bryan and Taft.
Another thing which is interesting, is the admission that newspapers run adverts as if they were news. I've seen this in old newspapers. Gee, people complain about "Camel News Caravan", but the commercialisation of news happened long before that. To be honest, I think some of the articles on modern internet news sites are really adverts.
