Could be a bumper month of podcasts as I've got lots of new tracks I can't wait to play and I have a 5 minute mini mix I submited for the Annie Mac BBC Radio 1 show. I'll be putting that out next.

The Peoples Talkshow is very good and it is on every Sunday afternoon at 2pm-6pm and it can extend at times if the music deejay doesn't arrive. The presenter doesn't choose his topics and they take things from a black african perspective which is great. You can discuss politics, religion, economics and what is happening in the world like current affairs. Or you can talk about what concerns you. This is why I like Genesis Radio is because they don't choose thier topics like BBC London/LBC. You...

AC Grayling Society seems woefully lacking in Big Ideas, and we seem to crave new thinking. In Britain, great hopes rest on the legacy of the Olympics, but however inspiring the sporting excellence we all witnessed, is it realistic that a summer of feel-good spectacle can resolve deep-rooted cultural problems, from widespread disdain for...

In this radio feature we eavesdrop on a father and his 10-year-old son as they bond over a succession of increasingly fiddly electronic experiments - at the behest of the manual they connect wires, transistors, capacitors and diodes to create an array of weird and wonderful crackles, beeps, buzzes and other electronic noises. Harking back to the bygone days of the BBCs Radiophonic Workshop in feel, variations on these sounds form the basis of the musical score that underpins the piece,...

Nigel Fountain looks at Britain's 'eating-out' revolution. In 1965 Peter Boizot opened his first restaurant: Pizza Express in London's Soho. Twenty-five years on, there is a dearth of British food: people now eat burgers, pizza, moussaka, chop suey and chicken tikka, and visit French brasseries and Spanish tapas bars.  Written and presented by Nigel Fountain.  Produced by Wendy Pilmer.  Broadcast on BBC Radio 4, 01-Aug-1990.
