View from hotel window on the nocturnal Rambla in Barcelona. An attractive middle-aged woman floats like a butterfly begging passers that pase by for something. The camera follows her - in real-time- with minimal interruption. At first I could not distinguish if this is a performance or life itself. (LUTZ MOMMARTZ)

Hard-boiled eggs turn against black background. In "Trademark eggs" many eggs rotate continuously, as if by magic. The effect is achieved by a simple trick: The eggs were turned and shaken on a black plate. (LEXIKON DES NEUEN EUROPÄISCHEN FILMS) "Trademark eggs" shows a handful of these chicken-final-products, hard boiled like tracer bullets shooting over a black film, rotating on it.

I threw the camera in the air and in this way I was able to express my aversion to conventional film show and skip my own limits. (LUTZ MOMMARTZ) "Selfshots" is the visual biography of an unconventional filmmaker. As a director, cinematographer and actor in one person, he points the camera on himself. He plays with her , throws it into the air, hurtling across the meadows, filmed his movements, his face and his hands and demonstrates in this way his adventurous relationship with a...

"Way to the neighbor" is a ten-minute opus that Lutz Mommartz commented as follows: "A women communicates with the audience." More, in fact, does not happen. The devoted rapture in the face of the actor lets the viewer imagine that this is not a compulsory exercise, but a pleasurable freestyle happening. The question of social property was the focus. Roland Hehn and Rainer Boldt from the Film and Television Academy Berlin, "stole"for us the film material and provided the recording devices. Norbert Stratmann was actor and provocateur for our call to establish social peace and, if necessary take illegal action, without getting...

Dear people, I am working on a cinematic image: 'The Transparent Man'. He lives in the 22nd century and controls his tax declaration according to the new global principles. The state, distributes the funds through a process in which all people are involved. The need of time and the expansion of the consciousness of the majority allowed and required all people to be aware of their abilities and needs. This is the key to each individual, who represents a new form of justice: each according to his...

IFF is the name for the available, already superimposed film material, from which approximately 400 m where used for this film and the rest for "Social sculpture". Otto Kellner, Norbert Stratmann and Joseph Beuys step inside the already filming camera of Lutz Mommartz inside his apartment. Lutz Mommartz without a word exposures the visitors to the audience. With Beuys this situation had been agreed, the others came by chance and had to improvise instinctively. That the audio...

With Jürgen Hillmer and Bruno Rückert. A fictitious farce on former opening speeches. An accumulation of opening speeches clichés to be read in the auditorium, in which we all were sitting. (KUR, DN, 21.3.68)
