Subject: the same expression for over a thousand years?
If you have been listening to "Great Events by Famous Historians" for awhile you know the authors range from Ancient times through the Middle Ages, isn't it intersting how often all these different authors, in different times, tongues, and locations all said "cut to pieces" when describing the condition of some defeated army ? , I think so.
