Damscray (aka Albert Khasanov), the producer behind the 'Everything is OK' album by Sclwn, also produced an EP called Horseboy in early 2009. (read a review, incl new download link in the comment section). The music is best described as cinematic trip hop. Albert samples rare jazz vinyls, painting a picture with sounds, reminiscent of a Tim Burton Soundtrack. Damscray brings you his dark collages all the way from Orenburg, Russia.

music can be described as leftfield electronica, with a strong cinematic atmosphere and often features oriental/ethnic melodies and instruments. It reminisces of artists like Amon Tobin, Four Tet, Prefuse 73 - or anything from labels such as Warp or Ninja Tune. Daans’ first release on the infamous Humanworkshop label was under the name BASIC. Now some years laters, he has gone back to basics, gracing his music with his own name. exercise you brain and feet with this wonderful liveset!
Humanworkshop is a small independent record label from the Netherlands. It specialises in detailed electronic music with an acoustic cinematic atmosphere. Our catalogue contains a host of great composers and producers, among which BASIC, Remus, Leisure-B, Daan Hendriks and Tonfilm.
Humanworkshop has been putting out CDs since 2004, in which year it released it's “Humanworkshop #1”, a combination acoustic sounds and dark plunderphonic beats. All of the artists are also represented on-line by a huge freely downloadable collection of their work. Beside the label activities, Humanworkshop also operates as a sound design collective and platform for computer musicians and new media performers.
Since 2008 Humanworkshop has started to release music for free on the netlabel page at archive.org.
