Raft sees the light.
Framed for black marketing in post war nationalist China, a cynical ex army flier joins slinky Madame Baranoff (June Havoc) in the food cornering racket until a pretty social worker, a crusading newspaper buddy and some cute half starved Chinese kids tug on his heart strings. Raft made a few of these born-again films, which aren't too bad if you don't confuse them with high art.

This is a film I got on VHS and unbelievably it has the BBC Video MATINEE ident before the film started. The VHS tape in the UK was on the Video Masterpiece label, a subdivision of The Video Collection.
