Main Street. On this site originally stood the House of Robert Kerr, where were held sessions of the Upper House of the State of Franklin. The first sessions of Greene County's Court were also held here. The Baptist Church established in 1872, was moved to its present location in 1948.

Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, located on Monument Avenue, is a combination of the Grace Street Presbyterian Church, organized in 1821, and the Church of the Covenant organized in 1871. The present building was completed in December 1923, and is equipped with a magnificent Skinner organ. The services are broadcasted by Station WBBL.
