Welcome
This is the SonicStage Digital Archive.
These files are provided for users who are in the need to sync their Minidisc recorders with a Windows-based PC, or simply for those who are interested on how this software evolved during its lifespan.
Contents
This archive originally contained all possible SonicStage versions circulating around the Internet. OpenMG Jukebox and Music Center for PC 1.0 were included too, as it contains common dynamic link libraries. Music Center for PC 2.0 and above are not included because it was rewritten as a Chromium app.
According to an administrator of Sony Insider forums, SonicStage 4.3 Ultimate was built with portions of SonicStage V, so we can consider it a hybrid variant.

Downloading a Specific Version

Information about OpenMG Jukebox 1.2
Information about SonicStage V and MD Recorder Owners
Please note that SonicStage V (JP) and Music Center for PC V1 (based on former SonicStage V code) won't connect with MD players. The latest supported versions for those devices is v4.3 (English) and v.4.4 (Japanese).
Compatibility
SonicStage 1.5 to 3.4 may not work under Windows Vista or above. The recommended versions are 4.3, 5.0 and Music Center 1.0. Versions below (and including) 4.4 do work with Windows XP.
OpenMG Jukebox 1.2, the earliest version available on this archive, will not run under Windows 10. In addition, it requires at least Windows 98 First Edition.

Security Recommendations
Please consider the dangers of using outdated software under production-use systems. Installations under virtual machines are recommended.
Sources
These files were gathered from different sources, including the special 4.3 version crafted for Sony Insider Forums users. Some versions of SonicStage were taken from OEM CD's, such as Sony CLIÉ handhelds. The very last version of SonicStage Generation 4 was uploaded thanks to the rectification of an Archive.org user.

I would be glad to add SonicStage Premium to the archive if someone has access to the original install media for it (e.g. recovery autosetup files or InstallShield EXE, etc). This space is always open for contributions. :) Cheers

There's also the software missing between SonicStage V and Music Centre for PC 1.0 avaliable here (https://www.tommys-pc.com/x-appli_v6.html), and x-appli 6 also still supports Hi-MD with an optional driver included.

Subject: Incorrect information
The information you have provided is slightly incorrect as SonicStage 4.4 (Japanese only) is in fact the last release that supports Minidisc. I have tried it myself and am in the process of translating it (partially for now). So SonicStage 4.4 and not 4.3 CP is the last to support minidisc. Thanks however for putting up this archive.
