Logbook of a whaling voyage to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Includes descriptions of whales seen and taken, accidents, desertions, and illnesses. Also contains whale stamps, whale drawings, drawings of ship flags, barometer readings, accounts of provisions onboard, and accounts of oil and bone. The vessel was damaged in a gale on November 21, 1866. One man was sick with venereal disease in August 1867. One man was discharged at Talcahuano (Chile) on 17 April 1869 on account of an injury to his leg. The crew discovered a leak in the vessel on August 20, 1869. Other places represented include Lemus Island, Guafo Island, San Felix Island (Desventuradas Islands), Wolf Island (Galapagos Islands), and Santa Clara Island. Whaling grounds include the On Shore, Off Shore, and Galapagos grounds.
