The logbook of the schooner Rowena details a voyage from Bombay [i.e. Mumbai], India to Zanzibar (Dec. 1842 to Jan. 1843). Master was John Shirley; log keeper was William H. Jelly. It is a daily log that describes wind, weather, location, shipboard occupations, port activities, handling cargo, sightings of ships, and provisions. Bound with the bark Cavalier, the bark William Schroder, and the bark Lucia Maria.
