In 1944, the Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers was formed and took over the responsibility for the maintenance and repair of equipment in the Canadian Army. Starting with the RCEME Quarterly in 1949, the Corps published a periodic technical journal that described events in the Corps, as well as technical articles on equipment maintenance. The name and format of the periodical changed over time, as did the name of the Corps itself after the unification of the Canadian Armed Forces in 1968 (becoming the Land Ordnance Engineering Branch (LORE) from 1970-1984, Land Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (LEME) from 1984-1994, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME) from 1994-2013) before returning to the original name of The Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in April 2013. The LORE Technical Bulletin was in bilingual format and replaced the Land Technical Bulletin (1975-1977). It was published up to four times a year from 1977 to 1983.

En 1944, le Corps du génie électrique et mécanique Royal Canadien (GEMRC) a été formé et a pris en charge la responsabilité de l’entretien et de la réparation de l’équipement de l’Armée canadienne. À partir du « RCEME Quarterly » en 1949, le Corps publia un bulletin périodique qui décrivait les événements du Corps, ainsi que des articles techniques sur l’entretien de l’équipement. Le nom et le format du bulletin ont changé au fil du temps, tout comme le nom du Corps lui-même qui deviens, après l’unification des Forces armées canadiennes en 1968, la Branche du Génie matériel terrestre (G MAT) de 1970 à 1984, la Branche du Génie électrique et mécanique terrestre (GEMT) de 1984 à 1994, la Branche du Génie électrique et mécanique (GEM) de 1994 à 2013 avant de revenir à son nom original du Corps du Génie électrique et mécanique Royal Canadien en avril 2013. La revue GEM Ter (bulletin Technique) était en format bilingue et a remplacé le « La revue GEM (bulletin Technique) » (1975-1977). Il a été publié jusqu’à quatre fois par an de 1975 à 1983.
