The Farmington Historical Society and Old South Church present the unveiling of the Marker recognizing Isabel W. Greenwood. Mrs. Greenwood was the President of the Franklin County Equal Suffrage organization that hosted Maine Woman Suffrage Association in Farmington at Old South Church in 1907. The marker is sponsored by William C. Pomeroy Foundation and is a part of the National Votes for Women Trail. The unveiling was held on August 18th at 1:00. Speaker Anne B. Gass, who is a lecturer and historical fiction writer on women’s rights and their history, and Michaela Carney, of the Farmington Historical Society, talk about Farmington’s own Isabel W. Greenwood and her work in the suffrage movement in Franklin County.
