A collection of documents detailing the planning, foundation, and historical transformations of Middlebury Chapel. Middlebury removed the name “Mead” from its chapel in 2021 because of Governor John A. Mead’s role in advancing eugenics policy in the early 20th century. Mead graduated from Middlebury in 1864.
