Agronomy Journal is an active peer-reviewed academic journal published bimonthly by Wiley on behalf of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). Launched in 1907 as Proceedings of the American Society of Agronomy, it changed its name to Journal of the American Society of Agronomy in 1913, before acquiring its current title in 1949. The official journal of the ASA, it publishes research that advances knowledge and better understanding of agronomic concepts.
Each issue features original articles, review and interpretation papers, contributions to the Forum, letters to the editor, and book reviews. Published papers cover a range of topics, including agriculture, natural resources, soil science, crop science, agroclimatology, agronomic modeling, production agriculture, and instrumentation, among others. Occasional special sections are dedicated to topics of current interest to the field or detail proceedings of annual meetings and conferences.
