DESCRIPTION

Journal of Animal Science (JAS) is an active peer-reviewed scientific journal published monthly by Oxford University Press. Launched in 1910, it is the official journal of the American Society of Animal Science and publishes the latest research and developments in the field of animal science.

Each issue features original research articles that typically focus on beef cattle, companion animals, goats, horses, pigs, and sheep, though studies involving other farm animals, aquatic and wildlife species, and laboratory animal species that address fundamental questions related to livestock and companion animal biology are also included. It also contains reviews, technical notes, and letters to the editor. Published papers cover a broad range of topics in animal production and fundamental aspects of genetics, nutrition, physiology, and preparation and utilization of animal products. Occasional supplement issues contain abstracts of scientific meetings.

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1942 and 2014.
