what a great start to a redonkulous weekend! i love crystal bay. free booze and no last call had me dinkin' and gamblin' till the wee small hours of the mornin'. super fun venue + a kick ass crowd + rediculous energy = a knee slapping, barn burning hootenany...... YEE HAW. i loved how this show is chalked full of raging instrumentals w/ heart grabbing todd songs wedged in between, it was beautiful. and let us not forget a man named andy Goessling tearing the room apart from limb to limb :) i am still smiling and i don't think i will ever be able to stop.

GREAT recording, we are TRULY thankful to be able to hear this again. I went to all 3 norcal shows and they all have their own unique personality.
This is what I call a Campfire show...something touching, intimate, and warm. Dover to Dunkurk was probably the best of this show, it was done so gracefully as if it was made from snowflakes melting on a morning rose. The second set was gooey and emotional. Not a rager, but a hypnotic cracklin fire by the lake.
STanding on a Corner at the end was punk fuckin rock. After the woodsy set, this armageddonesque bust out sent my fists flailing. Especially with the swine flu paranoids, this was the perfect song for the moment, and it was like pouring lighter fluid on the campfire and it blowing up in peoples faces, burning our eyelashes. Walk beside Me encore tied us all together to begin the weekend.
