For me , this show really showed me that John Kimock is the real deal. Nearly stands right up there with Rodney Holmes on drums. The kid is amazing. He was doing some Rodney fills spot on. I was kind of laughing to myself because I think John was pouring it on, like maybe saying, oh yeah Rodney?! I really like Janis on bass! Rockin. And Melvin. Rockin as ever..
You gotta see this band! I liked it more when it was just the 4 of them jamming and not the singers, sorry.
IF you want the show to fit on 2 cds skip tracks 5 in each set. Merls Boogie and 'Why can't we be Friends'. 'Merls' doesn't work so nice and 'Friends' is kind of annoying, sorry.
I can't wait to see this band again.

Thanks for this show. It sounds great as you would expect Bill & Caseys shows to sound. Nice clear recording. Kimock seemed to enjoy himself this night.
I see the audiences at HG are just as blabby as always. The one thing I wish is that they would separate the bar from the ballroom. Too much noise during the show. I taped Blue Country at the old space in '03 and it sounded like a traditional jewish wedding what with all the glasses breaking on the old concrete floor all night.

Kimock was on fire. Great intro with thing one. John Morgan is sooo tight and has sooooo much time to build his chops.

Honestly though F^&K Higher ground security. Who gets kicked out of a show for a walking off the smoking area? Not cool after a 4 hour trip.
