Welcome to Village Green Environmental Studies School, home of the Manatees in southeastern Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Village Green Mission guides our students towards the mission of St. Lucie Public Schools that all students graduate from safe and caring schools, equipped with applicable knowledge, skills, and a desire to succeed.
Students in pre-kindergarten through grade five are provided with a rich curriculum. Science and math are integrated across the curriculum to combine real world application of skills and cultivates a catalyst for all subject areas. Village Green Environmental Studies School also offers concentrated studies that provide students with authentic opportunities to tackle environmental issues we face in our community and our world today.
In addition to a rich core curriculum, our students participate in a series of field study programs designed to expose all students to hands-on experiences. Our backyard scientists benefit through partnerships with local experts from the Savannas Preserve, Hobe Sound Nature Center, and local 4-H chapter.
Our on-site garden and nature trail provides many learning opportunities which include the identification, cultivation, and study of plant life, both native and invasive, including local animal habitats.
Village Green Environmental Studies School is committed to our vision that all students are provided with exemplary instruction and learning opportunities in order to prepare each child to advance to the next level in their pursuits of college studies and careers in a safe and caring environment.
In setting our goals, we will continue to strive towards higher levels of student performance by offering a challenging elementary curriculum that is aligned with rigorous standards delivered through diversified instructional strategies through an emphasis on high order thinking and problem-solving.
Today's Learners. Tomorrow's Leaders. We are St Lucie Public Schools.
