Just watched the first reel- great footage!
Luckily for us, this is a great catalog of dances and performers from the 30s, with only brief and occasional clips of Twyla Tharp's group- the comparisons do not favor the latter, unfortunately. A slow-motion jitterbug is nothing particular to watch. But what a stockpile of footage! Fred Astaire, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway, Bojangles Robinson, square dancing, exhibition dancing, endurance dancing, tap dancing, jitterbugging... The 30s was indeed a decade when everyone danced, and well.
