SouthCoast Matters welcomes back Auditor Suzanne Bump. Auditor Bump is a Boston College grad. She once worked as a legislative assistant to the State Rep from Braintree. When that rep stepped down, Suzanne ran for and won the position. She served in the State House of Representatives from 1985 to 1993. During that time Suzanne attended night classes and got her law degree at Suffolk University. After her time in the Legislature, she practiced law until she went to work for the Devall Patrick Administration as Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development. She then went back into politics in 2010 and ran for State Auditor, which she won and was re-elected in 2014 and 2018.
