Good Noir/Suspense
Robinson switches his usual tough guy movie personality to play a meek professor who, by a bunch of unlikely circumstances, commits a murder with the help of Joan Bennett. He attempts to cover it all up but when talking to his police detective friend he keeps unintentionally incriminating himself more and more and also has to cope with a dastardly blackmailer. Surprise ending!
