Having heard quite a few live performances from Trail Of Dead via links on their website and also from seeing them in Manchester Academy2 this March (2005) I think this recording catches them very 'raw'. The energy this band posseses is amazing. Even though this recording is just straight from the desk, leaving out most other noise that isn't from the band, it still manages to capture the esscense of a Trail Of Dead gig. I would recommend this as a first listen to anyone who hasn't yet been able to see this band live. Or maybe just can't. I know a lot of Austrailians are dying to see them.

This was a free outdoor show at the "Documenta 11" art exhibition and my first time seeing ToD. Props go out to the local sound crew for letting me use their deck.
