it's a very deep marine layer. it will continue to push into our inland areas all the way until about august 15th. take a look right now. sure, we had the clear skies over the mount vaca area. that's where you have the abundance of sunshine. the air temperature there now is 72 degrees. west winds at 15 miles per hour. in comparison, the golden gate bridge shrouded in the overcast conditions. and that fog bank and low clouds roughly down to 600 feet at that hour. and that could cause airport delays when that you have kind of a low ceiling. but the other flip side of the coin is, when you do have that robust marine layer and it's penetrating the inland areas, it's driving the winds from the west to the east. so it's blowing out any kind of stagnant air quality so therefore, we have not had one "spare the air" day so far this season. and the air quality for your friday will be good. but meanwhile, these temperatures are averaging a good 10 degrees below normal. so far today we set a record for the lowest maximum tempe
