. >> i'm kristen sze. we expect to learn about the santa clara police officer arrested for giving confidential dmv information. >> no reason why this information was desired. this is tarnishing the defendant's good name and the high ethical standards of the police profession. who was arrested and 36-year-old rokhaus giving confidential information to a buying gang. he had provided confidential dmv information about an undisclosed number of private individuals with william betancourt, he's a member of the hell's angels santa cruz chapter. they arrested him for steroids and selling those, having $40 cash -- $40,000 cash and a gun. a woman was arrested who he shared that information with. he served on the san jose police force and he had at least one run-in there where he was involved with other officers in a use of force case that ended up with a suspect's death. why rowhaus was supplying the data remains unclear but the district attorney's office confirmed through a computer system that it was rowhaus to ob

kristen? >> frances, thanks a lot. it's 5:03. state regulators will name the blue ribbon panel that will investigate the deadly natural gas explosion in san bruno. a preliminary report shows pg&e took a long time to cut off the gas flow after the blast. abc 7's terry mcsweeney is live in san bruno with details. >> looking at this barren land that used to be a neighborhood, you can see the report where pg&e took a half hour to dispatch the crew to close the valves after the explosion. the blast happened about 11 minutes after 6:00. no one was dispatched to close the main line involve until 6:45. the valves were not shut off until almost an hour after that. eight people were killed, 37 homes destroyed by the blast and fire. the individual gas lines were not shut off until 11:30 that night, almost five and a half hours after the blast. >> in a time of a disaster like this, is it going to take five hours to get that response? >> the report also points out a malfunction at the pg&e power site in milpitas. that caused the regulating va
