so far most of the activity has been in the north bay where we saw some cells cross earlier in richmond out towards concord and we have got a couple more headed our way out there this evening. we are seeing a bit of a change in our position in this pattern if you will. the river of warm moisture has moved off to the south and as we take a look at the satellite image here which we will go to right now you see that that extensive band extends 1000 miles wide and within that band there is definitely heavy rain which has been wandering around the bay area on and off through the week. we got hit with it this morning, left an inch or two in its wake. now we are kind of on the northern edge of it as that river of moisture sinks to the south leaving us in the cold air mass behind it which in this kind of an unstable pattern is where you tend to see the scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm pattern. that will be tonight into tomorrow. then come wednesday we will see moisture move our way with steadier rain expected. as i said earlier we will hang on to the scattered activity. could be mode
