this is the man that the police arrested for murder yesterday in union city. police say coleman was the one behind a silver mercedes when he crashed into carmen zavala and christina alvaro when they were on their way to work. they were trying to turn left on to skyport when the mercedes collided into the toyota and inted of stopping, the mercedes kept going. this was after after he evaded two off officers that saw him swerving. that was seconds before the crash here at north first and skyport that killed the two women. now police say investigators with the covert response unit tracked down coleman. it took round the clock work and described the efforts as complicated but are protecting the investigation by not releasing any more details. we know the santa clara da's office has filed murder charges against coleman which are now our 37th and 38th homicide of the year. >>> the driver of a street cleaner had a close call when he crashed on an overpass in oakland today. take a look at these pictures. the accident happened apt the mcarthur maize at 6:00. morning. th

. >> new details are coming out this morning in the union city officer involved shooting over the weekend. police say before they arrived on scene, the man had already fired 15 to 20 rounds just outside of his house, some of which almost hit a passing car with a child inside. investigators also say 2 trained hostage negotiators plus an officer were on scene but couldn't persuade him to stop. the commanding officer says once confronted, the man pointed the gun directly at them. and that's when police opened fire, killing him instantly. as you might imagine, residents of that neighborhood were shocked. he was always nice to us, >> and as neighbors we always looked out for each other. so i really can't tell you what happened or why it happened. >> we did try talking to the family. they asked us to respect their privacy at this time. understandably this is a very difficult situation. we're told the man grew up in this home, and recently moved back to stay with his father after his mother passed away. in a man and woman believed to be family members of the suspect were taken in for questioning

san jose police say they took this man 24-year-old danny coale man into custody in union city on suspicious of homicide. 63-year-old carmen zavala, they were on their way to the jobs on september 2nd when their car was broadsided. police say information present the mercedes that coleman was allegedly driving led to the arrest. investigators say coleman is associated with a violent east palo alto street game and was named in a 2009 federal indictment that targeted a drug ring. the charges in that case were dismissed. >>> a double shooting in daily city '72 people to the hospital tonight. one of those victims are in critical conditions at this hour. the two victims were brought to san francisco general hospital after 8:00 this evening. investigators were shot mt broad more area of daly city. police are not saying whether the victims were male or female. one is in critical condition and shot in the abdomen, the other victim shot in the leg. >>> developing news out of kenya, a deadly hostage situation at an up-scale mall in the country's capital has stretched into its 20th hour. at least 39 peo
