a wing is part of a boeing aircraft. how are they going to do that? there are a number of clues. one is that there are some numbers on this piece of wreckage. it's about seven feet by four feet. there are some numbers. we know they're not an identification number. it's not a serial number. but perhaps they're maintenance numbers. they'll look into that. they'll look at the composition of the piece of wreckage. they'll look at paint to see if that's consistent. and they'll even, i'm told, look at barnacles. they'll be able to tell from the barnacles growing on the piece how long it's been in the water. meantime the search underneath the water continues. s that the responsibility of the australians. they have already searched an area about half the size of pennsylvania. you might be interested to know what their thoughts are about this piece of debris turning up 3,000 miles away. they say if it is indeed part of mh-370 that's consistent with drift patterns. that's the latest from here. >> sara james, thank you very much. w
