angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. police say one person is in custody -- suspected of shooting another person to death overnight. brown deer police were called to 50th and bradley just after ten last night. that's where they found a person had been shot. the victim died on the way to suspect was still on scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody. officials say the suspect and victim knew each other. the shooting remains under investigation. meanwhile-- milwaukee police are investigating another overnight shooting. police say a man in his 20's was shot in the arm near fond du lac and custer. he is expected to survive. police are searching for the suspect in that case. kim back to you. the trial for a man charged in connection with fire that killed two opening statements were made yesterday. prosecutors say the fire was intentionally set by michael morgan in milwaukee last october. morgan's trial had been suspended since last week-- after a witness for the prosecution never showed up. the witness was eventu

angelica joins us now with more. several inches of rainfall in a short time span led to those schools closing. students were evacuated from st. johns and parkview primary. the principal at st. johns says within half an hour the water started running down the side of the school...so students were sent rushed to both schools to fill and pile sandbags to keep the oncoming waters at bay. its my school. ive been here, all my life. i just wanted to help out. "it's really heartwarming even i didn't know that just heard the call and what can i do and you know and just bag the sand." there is only a little water, inside st. john's, but, once they get that out, a significant disinfecting effort will be necessary. they hope tomorrow. the fence around sherman park will stay down. at least until another court hearing at the end of the month. a milwaukee county judge extended a restraining order against sheriff david clarke in court yesterday. this all goes back to sunday when the county executive ordered the fence taken down. but

angelica is in the newsroom with details. a cold case is heating up once again --- today a suspect in a 19-90 homicide is expected in court. today's motions hearing will address the hung jury in dennis brantner's murder trial earlier this summer. the 62-year-old was sentenced to six years in prison and another eleven police say they found prescription drugs in brantner's boot when he was arrested last year for the murder of berit beck. the jury failed to reach a verdict on murder charges. prosecutors have still not said whether they will re-file charges in the case. also expected in court today --- one of the men accused of looting during the unrest in sherman park. police say 27-year-old darius saxton was at the o'reilly auto parts store, metro p-c-s and jet beauty. according to court documents-- he denies taking anything from the lingerie. he faces three counts of burglary. his preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this morning. for the second time this week ... the fence around sherman park is taken down. it will stay
