luther king junior avenue. the twist is what von dell says is the reason why he took the dog. he tells police, according to a warrant we've been able to see that he felt the dog was being mistreated, that he had seen the dog in the rain, the dog was barking, didn't have proper shelter. he also said that the dog had what's called cherry eye, which is some kind of an eye condition. he told police h a vet. he showed them veterinary bills he had paid and he said he was taking care of the dog. again, it wasn't until that video was released and was shown around the neighborhood here that mr. von dell was identified and then police did write up a warrant in this case, and mr. von dell turned himself in to the seventh district detective's office yesterday. last friday, we spoke with the owner of the dog, he doesn't want his face shown or his name of the dog and what he wanted to see as far as getting a kind of redress in this case. here's what he had to say. >> my family is happy. we're finally have peace of mind and c
