sam sweeney has the latest on that investigation. sam: mayor muriel bowser says she is devastated by the news of this overnight fire at the district yacht club. at this hour, investigators from the atf are on the scene, trying to figure out what started the fire, destroying the historic yacht club. around 3:15 this morning, flames burst from the roof of the clubhouse. within minutes, the fire had spread to all three buildings on the property. there is less to salvage this afternoon, officials calling it a complete loss. firefighters were stalled by a lack of water access and low water pressure. fire crews arrived, pumping water from the anacostia river on to the fire. members rushed to the area after a complete -- in complete shock after they learned of it. >> party for the kids. that is everything -- our kitchen, clubhouse, are come even our -- our kitchen, clubhouse, bar. sam: members i spoke with say this club has been in existence for more than 60 years. they are vowing to rebuild, but they acknowledge it will be a long road ahea
