[ cheers and applause ] >> so i want to talk about some policy issues you're dealing with. you recently said that any resolution of the syrian civil war should not leave iran in any control of territory or influence in territory where it could pose a threat to america's allies including israel. so from your perspective at the u.n., what is the attitude about the enforcement of the iran deal and how to hold iran accountable? most importantly, how to hold iran accountable for the deal and for the threat it's posing? >> it's concerning. and the reason it's concerning is because

and when the sun disappears before it hits the horizon, you can well believe it. in november, 2016, the indian government declared the air pollution in delhi a national emergency, with harmful pollutants more than 16 times the safe limit. and it's notjust caused by all of the traffic. so, where does it come from? i was surprised to find out a lot of it comes from diesel generators. see, the electricity in india isn't very reliable, but plenty of businesses need guaranteed power, so they have there own individual generators that fire up whenever the electricity goes down and that means there are loads of exhaust pipes like this all over the city, which regularly belch out all kinds of unpleasant stuff. hello. here in bangalore, we've come across a small project to capture the soot and turn it into art. so what we have built is a retrofit device that attaches to the exhaust pipe of the chimneys and this can be attached to pretty much any exhaust pipe, irrespective of what is the age or type of engine you are running, and it captures practically whatever matter comes

indian stock market has done very well, particularly in the local currency. last year, people loved brazil. he recently put out a call, saying forget brazil, go along with india. what is the essence of that? >> two things. brazil, if you look, it is still mired in recession. the fourth quarter was pretty weak. the market has gone up a lot from its lowest, more than 100%. betting that there is going to be a recovery, there is still a lot of debt, and the household sector is still retrenching. the key thing that has been holding them up are two things. one is the government deficit, which has widened. number two, the trade balance has improved dramatically, because of the commodity price rebound. if you look ahead, the global inventory cycle, coming out of a people startsion, to lose momentum in the next quarter. commodity prices are coming under somewhat, some pressure, at least. one source of the growth will go away. next is the government. the government has promised to rein in the deficit, partial -- partly to assuage international investors. on the other s
