abc 7 news meteorologist sandhya patel is tracking it. >> you will notice that the bands of heavy rain continue to feed into texas, and louisiana as well. this moisture is coming out of the warm waters of the gulf of mexico. associated with this tropical storm. it is in no hurry to leave the area, which is part of the problem. tornado warnings are up for parts of texas and louisiana. i do want to show you how much more additional rain they're expecting. so far, parts of texas have been drenched with close to 40 inches of rain for the wettest spots. additional 10 to 20 inches of rain expected for texas and louisiana, with storm totals of 50 inches possible in texas. this storm is a slow mover. 45-mile-an-hour maximum sustained winds. it is going to meander along the coast, make a third landfall. it made two lafls in texas, two landfalls in louisiana, and then just stall there before moving northward. that's why they're going to continue to see life-threatening flooding in that area. kristen? >> thanks, so much, sandhya. the flooding impact in houston, look at that. a shot of downtown ar

. >>> now, your accuweather forecast with sandhya patel. >>> we'll get to the forecast in just a moment. but what is also cool is our weather, with all the cloud cover. average high for livermore, 87 degrees this time of year. you're not going to make it to even average tomorrow. 80 degrees. you'll have to wait until the end of the work week where temperatures are back up where they should be this time of year or a little bit warmer where they should be this time of year. right now as we check out live doppler 7, you can see what the problem is. you had clouds hanging tough across many parts of the bay area. we're not going to see much clearing this evening. take a look at what's bringing us the cloudier, cooler than normal conditions. it's an area of low pressure that is swinging through northern california, and keeping us in this mode where temperatures are actually running well below where they were in some areas compared to yesterday. 12 degrees in livermore. down ten. antioch about nine degrees cooler than this time yesterday. winds are gusting out of the west to 25 miles an hour.

. >>> your accuweather forecast with sandhya patel. >> i wouldn't board that flight without a pilot, that's for sure. we have our typical fog along the coastline. but also, tracking a thunderstorm that has developed just north of the upper lake, clear lake area. so far, we have seen numerous lightning strikes just to the north of the region. definitely keep in mind that this stuff is moving southward. potential for it to reach lakeport area by 6:08 and 6:14 p.m. luckily the thunderstorms do contain rain. the only bad part about that rain is it's falling over a recently burned area, so flash flooding is possible. you don't want to see dry lightning around this time of year obviously because of fire danger runs high around this time. i do want to show you a live picture right now of the thunderstorms developing from the east bay hills camera. in the foreground we're also seeing some of the low clouds. here's a look at the temperatures. right now 63 degrees in san francisco. 75 in san jose. a live look from the kgo roof camera. it is a breezy view as you will notice. that's what's keepi
