section of 80 and you can see this morning it is 30 minutes and sometimes this stretch between the carquinez bridge and the macarthur maze is more like one hour.  but today it is better than usual and things are little better out there. westbound 24 traffic is okay driving through lafayette and this is a look at the bay bridge. things are better than they were yesterday for sure. we expect that on friday. here is a look at san francisco northbound 101. we have had some issues with interstate 880 flowing into downtown oakland. 580 is slow from the oakland zoo to the lakeshore curve. to the south bay we have slow traffic here and there but it is better than normal. let's bring in steve paulson with the forecast.>>> i made it four minutes early. remember those old days where we would wait for the trade?>> i was cutting it close for sure. >> let's look at the rain totals. some are good others were not bad. this is the first system of the season. willis 3/4 inches. santa cruz mountains, 1/2 inches. geyserville, 1/3 inch and kentfield .25 inches. the most i could find was .91 inches. kernville 1

elsewhere, if you are heading off the eastshore freeway towards the bay bridge, from the carquinez bridge, it's going to take but 51 minutes so almost an hour. pretty typical this time of the morning. no accidents reported heading into san francisco but backed up into the macarthur maze at the bridge. southbound 101 connected to northbound 880 one lane is blocked for an accident. >>> high wispy clouds for parts of the bay area today. visibilities not impacted by the smoke and the haze. all of that is still burning though in the north bay hills. temperatures were pretty hot out there yesterday reaching 90s even above 90 degrees but santa rosa in the 90s. san rafael 76. san francisco 70 degrees. so temperatures are pretty much where we should be this time of the year. this high pressure is now moving east. and it's actually helping brings us an onshore wind bringing in low pressure that's expected to bring rain on thursday/friday. >>> the duchess of >>> cambridge got into the swing of things, as you can see, at a london train station. pattington bear. she said okay. the place with the chara

on 80 westbound it is more like 4 to 5 minutes instead of an hour between the carquinez bridge and the macarthur maze. sometimes this gets up over one hour but today it is a little bit less. at the bay bridge it is 20 minutes on your delay before the span but we are getting signs that things are improving. this is a look at northbound 880 which is typically slow near the coliseum. we had an earlier accident that may have added to the slowing on 580 westbound. the san mateo bridge looks like it is slowing down. traffic loads to barely be moving near the peninsula so we will get on that. i don't see anything here right now but we will investigate. also the dumbarton bridge is looking very slow.>>> indictments against paul manafort.
