i actually grew up around john mccain all of my life. i've circulated brochures for him in his first campaign in phoenix, in the early ol's and we left yuma he was one of my last interview. we did a border story with senator mccain and i said i'm going south carolina. wi plight not see each other again. and six years later i got a phone call and i it was mccain on the phone same i'm coming to greenville so we drove up to greenville and for two years i saw him more in south carolina than i ever did here in arizona as he campaigned for that nomination. he won the south carolina primary. and so that was an amazing election cycle and i thought i wanted to write a book but that but there wasn't quite fluff so my career took me to columbus, ohio, which is the epicenter of battleground state, a state i was born and know a lot about, been a buckeye fan all of my life, and columbus was the place to be for the 2012 election. covering obama and romney as the tripped around ohio, trying to win its electoral votes and seeing john mccain who was campa
