i'm anne-marie green. we're going to start things off this mornin with louisiana, bracing for hurricane delta. the category 3 storm is packing 120-mile-per-hour winds, also threatening deadly storm surge. some areas could get 15 inches of rain. delta is expected to hit later on today and it is intensifying as it bears down on the gulf coast. courtney zabowski is in lafayette, louisiana. this storm is expected to hit that area pretty hard. it is still reeling from hurricane laura six weeks ago. how are people preparing, what is going on? >> reporter: what we're hearing from people is not again. right now it is a category 3 and it could weaken, but at this point, forecasters predicted it would strengthen overnight it did and now it is headed straight for the louisiana coast. residents along louisiana's gulf coast are packing up, and heading north again. >> it is getting tiresome. >> it is part of being here. i mean, the good times far outweigh the bad. >> reporter: vic and bebe are under a mandatory evacuati
