welcome to "squawk box" here on cnbc i'm becky quick along with joe kernen and andrew ross sorkin. and we're watching the u.s. equity futures on this friday. we did see a little bit of a pull back yesterday for the stock market, and, you know, this came after a week of kind of treading water, i would say, just coming off some of those all time highs we are on track for the three major averages to end down this week, that would be the first time in five weeks that's happened s&p futures off by ten, the nasdaq down by 20. if you're watching what's happening in the treasury market, the yield on the ten-year, which is the one we have been watching so very closely is sitting at 1.14%. check out the small caps, though, because the russell 2000 was up by 2% yesterday it closed at another record high it seems to be notching a record high every day, up 43 this morning, even after that, 2,155. the dow transports closed at a record high. that came after a gain of more than 1% in yesterday's session i think that's the second day in a row that both the dow transports and russell 2000 have close
