senator scott? >> thank you. mr. bidwell, i was surprised to hear how big the number is as far as infrastructure needs our airport industry has. you know, i guess there are different ways to pay for it. we can either have the user pay for it, the flying public, our consumers, the local community which gets the benefit out of a robust airport system or we could have the federal taxpayers pay for it that would allocate among users and nonusers. what would you recommend the best way to fund infrastructure for our airports? >> senator, thank you very much for the question. one of the things we have been very supportive of as a potential solution to this challenging issue of the need for funding to support infrastructure projects at airports is to modernize the passenger security fee. these are fees collected locally by users of the system and they are also used locally to invest in these types of infrastructure projects that benefit travelers at those local airports. whether it is expanding security check points or doing

joining us now is scott thompson, chairman and ceo of tempur sealy international. it really does look like the supply chain crisis is hitting across industries now. what are the raw materials you are running short, what are the problems you have, shipment problems, labor shortages, what is going on? scott: thank you for having me on. we just reported a quarter with 20% increase in sales. the point that you make, we are still not supplying all of our customers with the products they want. our backlog increased over 100 million dollars in the third quarter. we turned down another $100 million in sales. if we had been able to fully service our customers, our sales would have been 40% growth as opposed to 20%. it is a big issue. when you asked about individual components, it varies. right now, chemicals are a little bit of a problem. we are working to get more chemicals imported. labor is not as big a problem for us as some, but it is more challenging than it was this time a year ago. i think we all have to realize that when you are talking about supply chains that str

scott, i'm going to start with you. republicans remain hellbent on whitewashing this all in the name of what? donald trump and his big lie? >> well, obviously the republicans would rather talk about something else and they didn't want this committee in the first place. so it made sense to me why if you didn't want the committee in the first place, you wouldn't want to hold someone in contempt for defying the committee. he quite clearly defied a subpoena and it's quite clear this executive privilege claim is specious at best. my suspicion is if the department of justice takes it up, that he's not going to stand a very good chance. so we'll see how it plays out, but, you know, i was actually in a position once when i worked for president bush, i got subpoenaed by congress, and i actually had to show up and then say, you know, the president was asserting executive privilege over my testimony. but i had to show up and do it. in this case, bannon is not only claiming privilege, but he didn't even show up to assert it. it's a

scott smith joins me now exclusively. thanks for coming on the show. i know this is an emotionsally gruelling time for you and your family. tell us what happened to your daughter and how the county officials handled it. >> thanks for having us on the show. this has been a crazy 3 months. basically my daughter was sexual assaulted at the end of school in may of last year. i went to the school board meeting to see what was going on because i had seen all of this crazy stuff on tv. i went to see what was going on after my daughter had been assaulted. there was should crazy stuff being talked about. people for and against things. i was not there for any -- i am good with gay and cross-gender people. anybody who wants to be a good america, i am good with. i went there to find out why our children were not safe. the next thing i know, another parent activist approached my wife and i turned around and said stop. then i tried to tell the lady what happened to my daughter. she looked me dead in the face and said that's not what happened. that struck me: how do

scott jennings, to you. what does it say that someone like adam kinzinger, a military veteran, a lifelong conservative, has concluded he has no place in the house republican caucus? >> well, he has obviously been one of the most visible anti-trump voices, and obviously had fallen under the gaze of donald trump. and it would have made it difficult for him to win a primary. what made it even more difficult of course is what the democrats did to him in illinois. they gerrymandered the state of illinois to the point where they did it to him once before and he survived a primary a few years ago and this time they threw him in with another member of congress. so it was a case where donald trump hating adam kinzinger and democrats gerrymandering the map converged to run kinzinger out. now, he's 43. think i he's got a long future ahead of him. he's obviously a courageous guy. he speaks what's on his mind. and that's i think to be applauded. that authenticity is to be applauded in our politics. he's got a long future

scott. but i'm told he's thought of as a qualified guy, somebody who had a number of different jobs in government, a well thought of person. the trump involvement here, though, makes the decision, you know, obviously a flash point. this is not an appointment that would normally draw that much attention except for the fact that he was briefly, i think, for three days involved in the trump litigation in pennsylvania. so, on the one hand, seems like a qualified person. on the other hand, he's got this trump involvement which has everybody up in arms. we'll see how he acts thechlt gone through a number of secretaries of state there, so this is another in a line of appointments there. it's obvious the governor of texas is demanding an audit of a state he won, which i find strange frankly. but by putting somebody who had involvement with his legal team in his job, they're hoping to gain favor there. >> texas democrats are calling the new secretary of state one of the architects of the republicans'

liz: but you got to give me a wi ff, are you worried about sectors in particular, scott? >> well you know what? the semiconductors, right? they are the ones with all the supply constraints. the question is a lot are 10% off highs, 15% off highs so the question is if they do miss what you want to see is you want to see the miss and then the next day it goes up. that means it's priced and the street already knows it's going to wiff, so it doesn't matter it could already come in so the street plays it like oh, that was horrible news why is it up? well the stock just dropped 20% in the last month or so, so usually that means the bad news is behind it, so traders like myself look to see the reaction to the wiff, but you know, how is it priced in if someone wiff and is down another 10% it's not priced in you better be careful and better not have as much exposure through the ones you think are going to miss which could be a lot of the names that can't get supply. literally, i did my kitchen this summer and i'm still waiting for a dishwasher, okay? i've had no dishwasher for four
