kpix 5's andrea nakano got a look. >> this is fire ops training. to give community members, city councillor from santa rosa and me here, giving us a feel what it's like to do their jobs, wildland fires or respond to medical incident. >> supposed to crawl like this? >> reporter: first call, enter a burning building. got all suited up, went in with goal of knocking down the fire within the first five minutes. after that, risk of injury or even death increases by four times when a flashover occurs. it was hot and uncomfortable, as we were weighed down by all the protective gear and an oxygen tank. >> i never knew how heavy the gear was. i think that's the number one thing everybody says to us. >> reporter: i was on the team with city manager smith who came out of the building thinking one thing. >> end of the day, i just want them to get out, get home to their families. >> reporter: fire ops 101 is put together by professional firefighters of sonoma county. parti participants put through medical aid calls and use tools for a driver trapped in a car. m

kpix 5. >> hard to follow that story, but here we have a live look at the board of oakland. it's a little calmer out there. the flow of cargo is way down because of china's crackdown on covid. the port says its total volume through april dropped 7% from the same period last year. official says factory and port shutdowns in shanghai, the world's busiest port, is delaying u.s. imports from china and causing carrier scheduling issues also. >>> a fire at a hollywood recording studio has left one person dead and two hurt. this happened last night and it took 78 firefighters to knock down this fire. the body of a 26-year-old music producer was found afterwards. two others who were working in a separate studio in the building were able to escape. one of them was sharon osbourne's daughter. firefighters say the layout of the building was hazardous. >> a sound studio needs sound deadening. so there is a lot of insulation, thick walls, thick windows, double drywall that all held the smoke and heat inside. so it was a very intense firefight. >> the exact cause of this fire still under
