tell us about south carolina first. >> south carolina, all in. you saw the numbers. mitt romney by far spending the most. this is mitt romney on television ads. $2.7 million. to buy 30 seconds of advertising in south carolina is $300. it's a very different story when you look at the state of florida. now, here are our four candidates, going on to florida. mitt romney's campaign has already spent $2.4 million on television ads in florida. when you d in the superpac, $4.9. that is more than he spent in the entire state in south carolina that he spenl in florida. that's going to buy him a lot of ads. some of his ads are already playing in florida. he's got an ad airing in spanish to win over some hispanic voters. the real question is, you go to newt.org tonight, what does it say? we want a million dollar money bomb, trying to get more money to buy advertising in florida. but right now, mitt romney is the only one with the television presence in that state and it's an expensive state. >> a lot of major media markets in florida. it's not cheap to buy those 30-second comme

the battle for south carolina is costly. tv advertisement is 10 million and much over the last two weeks. ron paul telling me that south carolina is important. it is not do or die for him. 20 percent of the south carolina voters are said to be undecided. >> you have probably watched the battle back and forth for the heart and soul of the comment . what a former wife's comments made of newt gingrich and the team he may or may not be getting. herman cain knows that personal issues come up and change the race quick leap. yours were unprove exten did drive you from the race because they were such a distraction . and so far no indication that the prior comments from the second wife of mr. gingrich are reg mr. #2: ering. do you think they will? >> i don't think they will. the timing of the attack on newt with the interview from the previous wife was not coincidental . i believe that the voters connected the dots. they saw what happened to me and three days before the south carolina primary, the same type of attack on newt, voters

south carolina demonstrated something else as well. that the political atmosphere is different in states with higher unemployment. florida has high unemployment rate. on paper you think it's good for mitt romney with the business background and claim ability to pick economy. but newt gingrich's angry responses to debate questions from the news media helped him carry south carolina easily. he may give them more of this in florida and audiences may cheer again but they will be cheering for a man as speaker of the house became the unpopular national politician in the country. whose favorability rating with the general public today are the worst of any candidate in the g.o.p. field, far worse than ron paul. the worry for republicans it could give way to cheer for voters at large. it goes like this. i think he has to do well in south carolina. i think between gingrich and santorum we will emerge in the next couple states as a knock-out going. there will be conservatives running against, self-proclaimed con seventive, i won't say they are or aren't conservative against romney staying in the race. one thing that a lot of people like me should want it to happen. if he doesn't stay in the race. charles is right, what will happen in the next 46 states? romney will win the majority of them and ron paul will get 30, 35, 40% of the vote. there is always an anti-vote. it will go to paul and make paul much more formidable figure in the republican party. if you think gingrich, romney or a santorum-romney race is discomforting, don't pressure one of those guys to get out. you are going to end up with ron paul as a major senior. >> conservatives voting for santorum will go for paul. >> who is pressuring here? there is a different between advocacy and analysis. you want a certain outcome and you imply any other analysis is a way to press
