anybody, david martin? >> well, the-- this report again makes the point that cyberattacks can create damage on the order of a nuclear attack. it's not going to cause the same physical destruction, it's not going to cause the same loss of life but a coordinate add tack against the banking system, the transportation system, the electrical grid would throw this country into chaos. and the only good thing you can say about it is that the countries that have the capability to do that also have an infrastructure that defend-- depends on computer networks which are probably equally vulnerable to that kind of cyberattack. so there is this mutual assured destruction. >> probably there is one other good piece of good news here too. which is the chinese are invested in the united states to the tune of several trillion dollars. so to attack american infrastructure for china would impose a huge cost on china. i mean the economic impact of it would redound on them within days. in that regard, i worry about those who aren

david martin is following this breaking story. >> reporter: this is the mug shot of lieutenant colonel jeff krusinski, his face showing signs of a struggle. the police report alleges a drunken krusinski approaching a female victim in a parking lot and grabbed her breasts and buttocks. the victim fought the suspect off as he attempted to touch her again and alerted police. news of the weekend incident in the virginia suburbs of washington broke the day before the pentagon is scheduled to release new figures showing a continuing rise in sexual assaults in the military. a 6% increase from 3,192 to 3,374 reports of sexual assault in fiscal year 2012 compared to the previous year. estimates of the actual numbers of what is a notoriously underreported crime go much higher. according to pentagon figures, an estimated 26,000 servicewomen experience unwanted sexual contact, up from 19,300 two years ago, a number the pentagon says is unacceptable. krusinski has been removed from his job, but that will not change the reality that the pentagon's own figures show sexual assaults are on the rise in

. >> pelley: now cbs news correspondent david martin on assignment for "60 minutes." >> martin: we've all learned a lot in recent years about the dangers of head injuries from contact sports like football. we now know that a hard hit can cause brain damage that only becomes apparent after an athlete's playing days are over. football is violent, no doubt, but it's nothing compared to war. and just as the national football league has struggled to come to grips with head injuries, so has the military, but on a much vaster scale. an estimated quarter million servicemen and women have suffered concussions over the past decade of war. tens of thousands-- no one knows the precise number-- are dealing with lasting brain damage. the pentagon, which did not recognize the problem until the war in iraq was almost over, is now scrambling to treat these invisible wounds, and soldiers suffering from them sometimes end up wishing they had a wound people could see. >> ben richards: if i could trade traumatic brain injury for a single-leg amputation, i'd probably do that in a second. >> martin: you hea

david martin in washington. good morning. how serious is it? >> it's very serious. the report put together by the science defense board is a veritable who's who of the weapons involved in president obama's so-called pacific pivot, where you take the weight of the u.s. military away from the wars of the past decade and move them into the pacific, where, of course, the main competitor is china. and the report says that the chinese hackers have gained access to data on a number of weapons systems, including three missile defense systems. one high-altitude defense system. one low-altitude defense system and a ship-based defense system. a new navy ship that just deployed to singapore. the marines' osprey aircraft was also compromised. that is just now being deployed in japan, and there was the navy's primary aircraft carrier. these are not just any weapons, these are weapons that all have a very specific role in the pacific pivot and would be particular interest to china in coming up with ways to counter them. >> dave martin thank you. >>> a reunion in the jersey shore i

david mattingly, live for us, thank you for that. for more perspective, i want to turn to our legal expert minds, your u our juvenile judge hatchet joins us. she is an emmy nominated judge and a cnn federal prosecutor, sonny, let me begin with you if i can. this is the kind of evidence you can expect will be hard fought over in that him ceo. based on what it is and what the arguments that seem to be now, do you expect will be in front of a jury? >> you know, i think it's too soon to tell, ashleigh. i can tell you that every judge will make a determination to whether or not evidence is relevant and even if it's relevant, if it's too prejudicial, that evidence usually doesn't come in, in front of a jury. i will say this, though, in october, this judge indicated that any evidence of trayvon martin's propensity for violence or characteristics for violence could be relevant, because this is, after all, a self-defense case. so that kind of evidence may come in. the judge also may consider use, prior use of drugs as relevant, only because g

is lockheed martin. they're giving a dividend of over 5%? >> it's roughly 5%. david: wow! that is huge. they are on the cutting-edge of weaponry of course. one would think they might be hurt by sequester but all that is baked in you say to the stock price? >> i think it is. what you have to think about is where the cuts will happen. we think the worst area to be in is the army area which post-afghanistan will be very difficult. they have very limited exposure to the war. they do have very substantial international exposure to the middle east, missile defense there. that is a growth market. on top of that they have the f-35. the f-35 has a lot of bad headlines but in fact this is the only solution to our fighter aircraft of the future. so what you're going to see, that program will ultimately grow under any circumstances. so they're in the right part of the market. and they like many companies are delivering quite a bit of cash and you're going to see them deploy that to shareholders. >> i'm hearing cash
