the tropical atlantic starting to get busy. we have a tropical depression that is just formed out here. it's in the far eastern atlantic. but these are the kind of storms. this is the time of year when we look out there. although it has 35-mile-an-hour winds now, it is projected to become a hurricane. not only category 1 but category 2. 100-mile-an-hour winds sunday heading in the general direction of the caribbean. obviously, that's something that needs to be watched as we go through the week. hazy sunshine for the rest of the afternoon. it's going to be hot, humid again. high temperatures in the low 90s. it will feel more like 96, 97 degrees. by tomorrow, a chance of showers. it's going to be close to 90 degrees. may not quite make it and that would end the heat wave. it either ends on wednesday or thursday. showers and storms will help keep the temperature down. we even have chances of storms and the high humidity all the way through the weekend. >> all right, glenn. >>> some researchers say it is the secret to success. the

look at atlantic city, mt. holly, beach haven all in the 70s to start with this morning. there's the wind. a little bit of a southwesterly breeze, just enough to bump up the humidity compared to yesterday. we see light winds. they should stay below 10 miles an hour during the day today. bright sunshine, a quick warmup into the 90s this afternoon. a little bit hotter than yesterday. a few thin clouds at times. no rain showers, until we get to the end of the week. we'll be watching a system to the west. this first line of showers will fall apart over the next 24 hours. it's the next line that will bring us showers, possibly heavy downpours later in the week. possibility of isolated showers in central pennsylvania tomorrow afternoon. looks like philadelphia will likely stay dry. then into wednesday, a chance of spotty showers and we'll be watching the showers coming from the west for thursday and friday. for today, though, watch for some shady spots if you can find them. temperatures will be climbing into the 90s this afternoon. definitely a hot one today. with southwesterly

about the same as atlantic city marina. so it's the southeast wind is strong enough it can keep the temperature down to even philadelphia which is what it's doing. we can see showers in pennsylvania and maryland and virginia but in many cases, they would tend to move this way but just look at it. they're moving straight south to north so not moving in our direction just yet. but the surface wind, the ground wind, certainly coming in off the ocean. in a way that's helping to keep most of the showers back to the west. the atmosphere is more stable there. as we go into tomorrow morning, there could be a couple showers generally in western parts of the area. same story in the afternoon. the best chance of the rain is north and west portions of our area. then it just increases some more thursday and friday. speaking of increasing, we have tropical storm danny way out in the atlantic. it has just formed, minimal tropical storm with 40 mile an hour tropical winds. the computer models, fair agreement about where it's going, general
