. >>> a body washing ashore in a re340e9 part of plymouth. there you see the state and local police are both investigating and we have learned that this area can only be reached through duxbury. let's go out to 7's tv steve cooper to tell us what he knows. >> reporter: kim, that's one of the reasons that duxbury investigators, also the fire department and the harbor master are here. they're all assisting plymouth police in recovering that body late this morning. it was actually construction workers who made this startling discovery late this morning. police say the body washed ashore on the point. that's right next to the beach here and police say, well, they won't say tonight whether the body is that of a male or a female and how long they believe the body had been in the water. again police from plymouth are actually leading this investigation. but we are told that state troopers assigned to the district attorney's office here in plymouth county are helping in this investigation as well. right now the cause of death remains a mystery at thi
