let's talk a little bit about marco rubio, t concession speech the marco rubio gate just a few minutes ago. i thought it was his usual eloquent moving bhe mentioned his parents which is always enough to bring a tear to your eyes. he is a son of a bartender inmate who chose to run for president. good for him's he congratulated donald trump, and urge voters not to give in to what he called the politics of present we gogo a clear reference to trump, and he blasted thehe republican establishment, saying it needs to be totally performed. the speech did have a residence, and he proved what a but rubio tried to be too many things to to me people, and he never carried out bhe never carved out a niche in this campaign, he never said here is what i'm running on. his campgn never really caught fire. the candidate for the new american century, but what does that mean? it did not meet enough. >> all right, michael, we have a lot of seems to get to tonight. as you know, there are five primaries happened at least in five states. >> yes. >> so, let's take a look at some of the numbers here. florida, w

marco rubio is down at 9.3%. he doesn't get that 15% threshold he wind up with zero delegates from the state of michigan. those are the numbers we have so far. let's talk with dana and mark. very exciting night so far and we're not done yet. >> that's right. we have idaho and hawaii. but mark you have been doing some really interesting reporting on the stop trump movement and where they're headed now. >> right. so there's been a lot of talk about how are they going to stop donald trump from getting the republican presidential nomination. there's been a lot of theories floated over the past week. in the past week it has accelerated very much so. spoke to many republican operatives tonight as the evening was going on to find at where we are at at this point and there really is a belief now that it has to come down to a contested convention. why is that so? it's because donald trump right now has so much wind that they think he's going to pick off florida and pick off ohio, but here is the rub on this. they need mar

marco rubio may have other ideas. jason carroll is on the campaign trail for us in tampa, florida, right now. jason, what's the latest? >> reporter: well, the rubio rally is just about to get under way here. as you know, wolf, rubio has his sights set squarely on his home state of florida. it is a state that he must win. while some people want this to be a two-way race, rubio telling reporters just a few minutes ago, he has no intention of getting out. >> who's going to win north carolina? >> reporter: donald trump's confidence on full display today, campaigning in north carolina, whose primary is still more than a week away. the gop front-runner running strong in tomorrow's big super tuesday prize, michigan. >> i've been to michigan a lot. i think we're going to do well there. >> reporter: a new monmouth university poll released today shows trump at 36% in the wolverine state, followed by cruz at 23%. after big weekend wins, trump and cruz say the gop primary fight is now turning into a two-man race. >> marco rubio h

marco rubio, it's make or break for him. we've seen a couple polls there, one has him a little closer than the other one but both have him behind donald trump. what's your sense of the state of play on the republican side there in florida this that do or die test for rubio? >> well, it's certainly uphill and it shouldn't be for marco rubio in his own home state. don't forget, too, that next week is when we hit the part of the calendar where primaries become winner take all. another story line that you are hearing down here is ted cruz who is really, you know, opening up campaign offices, really putting in what we're hearing is a pretty intense ground operation. florida because it's so big is really a hard state to build this kind of operation, but it looks like, you know, ted cruz is pushing hard as well. so this is really going to be a dog fight here in florida. >> that's an interesting story line, too. it looks like ted cruz is really trying to push marco rubio out of this race, really thinks he has a shot if he can get th

to marco rubio's 28%. marco rubio because of this outcome has decided that he is ending his campaign for the white house. now on the democrat side, hillary clinton has been declared the winner in florida with 65% of the vote to bernie sanders 33%. from ohio, ohio governor john kasich has won his home state by defeating donald trump 44 to 36% and on the democratic side in ohio, the numbers here, hillary clinton has beat bernie sanders, 68% to 31%. so a big night for donald trump and hillary clinton as they have won their states and there are more votes coming in and both of those candidates are leading in north carolina, in missouri and in illinois. so the outcome of this race, the headline is marco rubio is out, donald trump is rolling alone as is hillary clinton. it will be interesting to see about the delegates that marco rubio had, he had 163 delegates, where are they going to donald trump, ted cruz or john kasich. we will have to see and if there is anymore pressure on john kasich to bow out. probably

you talked about that new q poll showing trump up by double digits now over marco rubio, in marco rubio's home state. that's a concern for rubio. trump, late today, talking about the need for a knockout in this state. he clearly is aware of what's at stake. and you know what? so is ted cruz, by the way. he held an event here in miami this morning where he unrolled that endorsement or rolled out that endorsement from carly fiorina. and an interesting one, kind of a surprise endorsement. fiorina, who ran as an outsider, she had her strongest moments in the debates when she was running, when she was going after donald trump, when she was going after hillary clinton. you look at her support in polls, there really wasn't much there. it's not as though you're going to see a big shift of her supporters over to ted cruz. it's likely we've seen that play out over the last month or so. that said, she could be an effective attack dog for him as a surrogate. here's a little bit from that event this morning. >> we're not going to beat donald trump by having leaders in our party tsk-tsk over our voters
