we're at the second of the two scenes in north philadelphia at 15th and parish and you can see there are several damaged vehicles here but this whole story is a little confusing so i'm just going start at the top. this all started around 2:00 a.m. at broad street and brown in spring garden. that's when those two plainclothes officers were driving back to central detectives in an unmarked pickup truck when they were broadsided by another vehicle at the intersection. that striking vehicle took off. the officers were taken to the hospital almost immediately. now, at some point around this time, again police are trying to work on a time line, 33-year-old driver of the white ford that's here at this intersection pulled up to the scene of the accident and told police that he got scared. he told police he got out of his car for some reason. he left the vehicle in drive so the engine was running, the car was moving slowly and then two people separate from the first accident saw the car, they got in it and they took off. according to police, it was not a carjacking. the man was out of the car

police here on scene in north philadelphia say it is very real. this pickup truck was driven by two plain clothesed philadelphia police officers earlier this morning. they were driving near broad street and brown when a black sedan hit them. the car did not stop. a witness was driving by, pulled over his car and got out. however, his car kept moving forward. we don't know if he didn't put it in park or what was happening. that's when two men who were walking in the area jumped in the moving car and took off with it. they drove a few blocks away where they crashed another vehicle and then the two men got out of that stolen car, ran to a nearby nightclub on brad street where they went inside and took off any identifying clothes they were wearing. we're told by some police out here investigating that one of the men was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. when he went into that nightclub on brad street, he took that sweatshirt off so he couldn't be identified. police are still looking for those two men. as for the injured police officers who were in the

we do expect possibility of snow accumulation north and west of philadelphia. as i mentioned plunging temperatures tonight into tomorrow. so it's quite an expansive low pressure system pushing in from the west and you can see right now just sort of knocking on the back door to our area, just pushing in from northeastern maryland and parts of central pennsylvania, all snow there north and west of philadelphia right now we do have a little bit of rain just moving into northern delaware. light shower activity but could intensify as we move on through our morning hours. cold out there for sure. we're in the 20s in the poconos. we just dropped down a tick in allentown to 29 degrees. 38 in philadelphia. 32 in atlantic city, and in southern new jersey there we're in the lower 40s. so what we can expect today as the system moves through the area, it will take up most of our saturday, saturday afternoon before getting out of here this evening but we can expect rain and shower activity. windy conditions. those winds will be increasing as we move on through our afternoon.
