robin has traffic update. what's going on? >> keeping an eye on it, the traffic is growing, it's out to the foot of the maze now. it's rolling into san francisco but you have a chance to get in without any major problems. but, it's 22 minutes from the foot of the maze rolling off to freemont street. an accident on the nimitz, one northbound and southbound at the same exit 23rd avenue. chp on scene clearing both cracks crashes on the shoulder. we have a lot of stop and go traffic into downtown oakland. i'll zoom out and northbound it's backed up to 238 in san leandro. look at 580 here, san leandro, it's nice and light. this is a great alternate routes for you both east and westbound. here at the bridge, lots of traffic rolling into the north bay, but no major hot spots. this is fairly normal for a friday morning. it's only 16 minutes from the tolls out to highway 101, let's check drive times. if you have to use 880, it's 17 minutes and 15 minutes from san leandro. do not take the nimitz freeway, use 580 instead. just a quick ch

robin has been pretty busy. >> so many problems out there james. i made the nimits freeway a hot spot. we had an accident in west oakland at seventh street that was blocking two lanes it's gone. but the back up just continues to grow. it's stretching out to 238. it's going to be a very slow drive. 80, it's only 26 minutes to get from 248 to 180. traffic has not recovered yet. we still have lots of crowding here rolling into san francisco. this back up stretches through the maze. the back up spreading through the maze. heading through the páb pápb. this is just about normal but it's creeping along so make sure you leave early. high wind advisory for the san mateo bridge as well. we had other problems out there. coming out of orinda check out the drive time 48 minutes to get from the 680 split through the caldecut. you need to leave early. i had a number of problems. but check out the speeds less than 25 miles per hour at scotts valley through then santa cruz mountains and into los gatos. don't forget your head lights and wipers. >>> a plane travel
