in the pale winter dawn of western pennsylvania the deer hunting season has begun. chuck eriksson has been shooting deer for a0 years. they start hunting here as early as eight years old. over the years it has changed. we have gone from being meat seekers to trophy hunters. it was a bad day if we saw 100 deer. now it is a good day if we see ten. that is a buck. oh, yeah. damn! they got spooked when they saw us. this is donald trump country now. blue—collar, plain speaking, patriotic. it is a world that the other america, prosperous, big city, liberal, scarcely recognise us. how widespread is this? is everybody in this part of the state involved in deer hunting? 25%—30% of the population probably. chuck used to work in the coal industry. but coal and steel were swept away in the age of globalised trade and open borders. when donald trump promised to bring those industries back chuck started encouraging people to register to vote, knowing they would support the man promising to make america great again. our area is really dependent upon the natural resources that

here's what we're looking at, lighter showers in western pennsylvania. those are tracking our direction and may clip the northern edge of our viewing zone. they're moving along pretty nicely here, but i think temps are going to boost up enough for the most part this will be a rain forecast in that area instead of a freezing rain forecast. nonetheless, these morning hours will have an isolated chance of seeing that near berks and the lehigh valley. in fact, there is an advisory in place for that along those areas. still, very light chances. nothing that's a major concern. looking at your planner for today, it's really all about the cloud coverage and temperatures. the 30s at 8:00 a.m. 40s as we go through the afternoon and we even see the upper 40s as we get later into the day. we should cap our own 50 degrees at philadelphia. the temps are going to keep climbing as we go later into the day and tonight. why? because of the warmer area of air starting to move in. a lot of times we start to see this, temperatures pick up and we see that changeover. this tim
